PET PORTAITS
Studio & Outdoor Sessions for Dogs & Horses

Pet portraits at Desert Heart blend studio‑style sessions and relaxed outdoor sessions for dogs and horses in and around Santa Fe. This page showcases a small but growing collection of pet portraits, and I’m actively building a Santa Fe–based pet photography portfolio through new sessions. If you’d like a calm, intentional portrait of your dog or horse—whether in a controlled studio setting or on a familiar trail or ranch—you can book a pet portrait session through the contact form or by email.
What to expect from a pet portrait session
Sessions are kept simple and low‑pressure, focusing on your dog’s personality or your horse’s presence rather than forced poses. Studio sessions emphasize controlled lighting and clean backgrounds, while outdoor sessions take place in comfortable locations like backyards, ranches, or Santa Fe‑area trails. I’m also open to shooting in your home when it feels like the most relaxed and authentic setting for your pet. Most sessions run 30–60 minutes, depending on your animal’s energy and the number of images you’d like to capture.
Pet Portrait Sessions start at $175.
Includes up to 45–60 minutes, careful selection and editing of 8–12 final images, and delivery through a private online gallery. This introductory pricing is in place while pet portraiture is a growing focus at Desert Heart; pricing is subject to change and will be confirmed when booking. I only deliver images that meet my quality standard. A variety of prints and wall‑art options are available through the online gallery, with pricing starting at $12 for an 8×10 print. Print pricing is subject to change and will be confirmed at the time of order.

Pet portraits are a newer focus at Desert Heart, so I’m especially open to your ideas and vision for your dog or horse. I’ll bring a set of possible poses and techniques to the session, and we can shape the session together—whether it’s studio‑style portraits or an outdoor Santa Fe setting.
