Santa Fe Drone Photography Services
Everybody loves to hate drones! But no-one complains about the beautiful aerial view photography we see in virtually every feature film and TV drama series. That gorgeous footage is captured by camera drones, and they can make a property look amazing. Drone footage can showcase the house, the lot, and even some of the surrounding area. It can add breathtaking drama to a real estate highlight reel or social media reel.
There are strict rules for flying drones and stiff penalties for breaking the rules. Commercial drone pilots must pass an extensive test and be licensed by the FAA. Using a drone for real estate, even if it’s done as a favor, is considered “commercial use” by the FAA. So be careful! Having your nephew use his hobby drone for that purpose could get you both in deep trouble.
An FAA licensed professional drone pilot (as we are) will fly legally and safely. 3D Virtual Tour Services
You’ll find 3D virtual tours on some listings, and they can help engage the viewer in a deeper way, beyond photographs.
While 3D virtual tours became quite popular during the pandemic, they’ve been loosing popularity for a couple reasons. One is that many people find them confusing or difficult to use. Video walkthrough tours and highlight reels are much more user friendly, and can give viewers just as good an idea of the property, or better in some cases. And perhaps most importantly, 3D Tours can’t play on Instagram, where a great deal of real estate marketing tends to take place. Video covers that platform extremely well.
Real estate 3D tours are captured with a special camera, placed in specific places in every room. Then the images are “stitched together” to form the tours we see on websites like Zillow and other platforms. The best known brand for these is Mattterport. But today, there are many other options for producing 3D tours. We think the Zillow 3D tour platform is best. Not only does it allow the tour to be placed on any website, but using it also gives the listing a bump on the Zillow platform. Included is the floor plan and “dollhouse” view of the home. It’s the route we recommend if an agent or homeowner feels they have to have a 3D tour.
