Studio & On-Location Options

My Santa Fe studio offers a comfortable, private setting for focused conversations and on-camera recording, with several set and background options to suit the subject and tone of the program. Seating, lighting, camera placement, monitors, and framing are arranged in advance to create a polished, natural-looking result. Just walk in and we’ll record.

For projects that benefit from a more specific setting—a workplace, venue, gallery, home, conference, or book-lined office—I can bring a portable multicamera, lighting, and audio setup to your location.

Several of the studio’s available set and background options are shown here:

Video Podcasts and Conversations

For in-person podcast episodes and interviews, a typical setup can include a wide two-person shot plus individual camera angles for each speaker. The different views support a polished full-length program as well as shorter excerpts, trailers, and vertical social clips.

Every session includes hands-on production support, professional camera and microphone recording, thoughtful lighting, and a technical setup tailored to your needs.

Author, Expert & Thought-Leader Interviews

A polished interview can introduce a new book, share specialized knowledge, document an artist’s or organization’s work, or create useful material for a website, event, campaign, or social-media channel.

I produce one-person and interviewer-led conversations for authors, experts, organizations, and creative professionals. The result may be a complete interview, a series of shorter thematic segments, or promotional clips shaped for specific audiences. Interviews can also be part of larger documentary films.

Editing & Delivery

Whether you plan to edit the material yourself, work with another editor, or receive a finished program, I can tailor delivery and postproduction to the project.

Delivery and postproduction options include:

  • Raw source recordings for your editor
  • A prepared Final Cut Pro multi-cam project with synchronized audio and basic color adjustment
  • A live-switched HD program recording for prompt delivery
  • A professionally edited 4K interview, podcast episode, or presentation
  • Short excerpts, vertical social clips, captions, and audio-only versions

Before the session, we’ll talk through how you plan to use the material and choose a setup that fits.

Remote Guest Interviews

When a guest or host cannot be in Santa Fe, they can join a studio conversation live through Zoom or another video-call platform.

The in-studio participant is recorded with professional camera, lighting, and microphone while the remote participant joins from their own location. I can provide the complete Zoom recording—including both participants—along with the high-quality studio source files for a later edit.

The quality of a remote guest’s video and audio depends on their equipment, lighting, and internet connection. For projects that need a higher-quality remote recording or more editing flexibility, we can discuss the best approach in advance.

  • We had a great experience at Desert Heart recording one of our podcasts. The location was fantastic, the studio a great setting for our video. Max was extremely professional and worked right with our video editing team in the UK to complete our podcast – overall just a great experience and we will be back!

Live-Switched Programs & Livestreams

For podcasts, interviews, and panels, I can provide professional multi-camera coverage with live camera switching. This creates a polished HD program recording during the session, ready for prompt delivery, and can also be livestreamed to an online audience when appropriate.

Original camera and audio recordings can be provided for a later 4K edit or for your own editor. We’ll discuss the format, audience, delivery plan, and technical setup in advance.
