VIDEO PRODUCTION IN SANTA FE, NM

Professional Video Production Filmed In My Santa Fe Studio Or On Location
When you’re thinking of video production in Santa Fe for your business or creative project, you want a thoughtful, professional approach that delivers strong results. At Desert Heart, I produce films ranging from documentaries and promos to podcasts, interviews, social media pieces, commercials, trailers, courses, and music videos — all planned and executed with care, high production value, and broadcast‑quality audio.
If you’re looking specifically for a story‑driven piece about you or your organization, I can shape your project as a short documentary‑style film or interview‑based profile, combining cinematic visuals, careful sound, and clear messaging to help viewers understand who you are and what you do.
How we’ll shape your project:
Before we roll cameras, we’ll sit down to clarify what you need to communicate, the tone and style that fit your brand or creative vision, and who your audience is. From there, I’ll develop a straightforward plan for your shoot so you know exactly what to expect and how each piece will come together on screen. Here’s what we define together:
- Message and audience – What you want viewers to understand, feel, or do, and who you’re speaking to.
- Visual approach – Studio or on‑location, interview‑driven or cinematic, simple or more stylized.
- People on camera – You, your team, clients, actors, or a spokesperson, depending on the story.
- Production details – Camera and lighting setup, sound, and key shots that support your message.
- Editing and delivery – How the finished piece will be cut, where it will live, and any versions you’ll need for web, social, or presentations.
A clear plan keeps the shoot running smoothly and ensures your finished film looks and sounds the way you imagined, whether we’re producing a short promo, a documentary, or a series of interviews.
KINDS OF PROJECTS I OFFER
Promotional Documentaries
For businesses, non‑profits, and individuals, I create documentary‑style films that tell real stories about places, people, and organizations while clearly communicating what you offer or why your mission matters. These pieces combine cinematic visuals, engaging interviews, and carefully crafted sound to build trust, differentiate your brand, and move viewers to take the next step.
Example 1: The Hidden Life Of The Santa Fe River: Trailer
This independent documentary follows the Santa Fe River, the people who depend on it, and the evolving story of our local watershed. Currently slated for an Oct. 7 screening at Sky Midtown Theaters.
A trailer from my short documentary on the Santa Fe River. Filmed in and around Santa Fe, this project premiered to a sold out audience at the Santa Fe CCA September 2026, and is slated for multiple film festivals nationwide. Projects like this draw on the same storytelling, cinematography, and audio skills I bring to documentaries and branding films for local businesses and non‑profits. More about this film…
Example 2: Official Trailer for Lamy – Holding The Light
Here’s the trailer for a a film I made for the Our Lady of Light Historical Foundation, in Lamy New Mexico. The film includes numerous interviews, abundant relevant footage of the local scenery, artistic renderings, voice-over narration, and an original music score. A private link is available on request to see the entire film, prior to its official Santa Fe release. Meanwhile, here’s a page with more about the film.

Example 3: Santa Fe Animal Shelter
I made this fun shortie for the Santa Fe Animal Shelter/Humane Society, to promote volunteerism. It incorporates several interviews styles, candid live footage, graphic overlays, and heartwarming vignettes.
Holy smokes, I didn’t realize you worked so fast! LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! I am SO fired up about this video. This will help a TON to get the word out, get more volunteers, and get dogs happy homes faster! And thanks for the expert direction on my take. I think it worked! Well done!

Working with Max at Desert Heart was a pleasure! The videos he produced greatly exceeded our expectations! Max is very thorough. He met with our team, responded with a plan, and executed that plan meticulously. Seeing our food program through the eyes of his lens is a gift!
